Grant Vinik⏐Partner, General Counsel & COO

Grant Vinik has served as a trusted legal advisor and litigator on behalf of high-ranking government officials and senior executives of private companies for over 25 years.

Grant most recently served for over two decades as a nonpartisan, in-house counsel to the United States Senate and its Members. In that office, Grant developed strong relationships with the leadership of both parties in advising Senators on the scope of their powers on a broad range of matters, including national security, Senate investigations, and the daily operations of Senators’ personal offices and Senate committee offices. Grant also, in that position, represented hundreds of Senate witnesses in legal proceedings, and successfully defended the Senate and its Members, officers, and employees in many dozens of lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of statutes, Senate rules, and Senate practices. 

Earlier in his career, Grant was an associate with the litigation boutique law firm Miller, Cassidy, Larroca & Lewin, and accompanied its merger with Baker Botts, where he advised executives in agency investigations and represented them and their companies in civil and criminal proceedings. 

Grant served as a law clerk for the Honorable Louis Oberdorfer of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
