Erica Spevack⏐Associate

Erica Spevack has significant experience representing technology companies and other corporate clients in antitrust and high-stakes disputes, with particular expertise in complex technology-focused litigation.

Erica has played key roles in several landmark technology litigations and has taken multiple cases to trial. Her practice focuses on fast-moving and high-stakes trial preparation, and she has demonstrated a proven ability to manage trial teams preparing for and at trial and craft winning litigation strategies. Erica served as trial counsel to Google in civil antitrust litigation brought by the Department of Justice and 17 states alleging monopolization of advertising technology. She represented Uber in the successful defense against a $750 million claim brought by Boston's largest taxi conglomerate, claiming unfair competition, both at trial and on appeal to the First Circuit. She also represented Oracle in finding Rimini in contempt for violations of a 2018 permanent injunction. Among her other notable representations, she has favorably settled a class action against a major technology company for breach of contract relating to consumer electronics manufacturing, won a trial court ruling for a ridesharing company striking down New York City regulations, and favorably settled an arbitration for a major technology company in an employment dispute with its former Senior Vice President.

Erica has demonstrated a commitment to pro bono work, having represented child victims of sex abuse in a civil lawsuit against Washington Hebrew Congregation's preschool and the plaintiff in litigation filed on behalf of the brother of deceased DNC staffer Seth Rich, challenging viral online conspiracy theories relating to Seth Rich’s murder.

Erica received her J.D., with highest honors, from The George Washington University Law School in 2018, where she was Order of the Coif and a Managing Editor of The George Washington Law Review.
