Carter Squires⏐Associate

Carter Squires focuses his practice on trial and appellate matters involving antitrust, national security, constitutional and administrative law. 

Before law school, Carter worked with the DOJ's Antitrust Division on investigations and litigation involving technology companies, labor-market competition, real estate, and private equity. While in law school, he worked at the Department's Federal Programs Branch on litigation over executive power, national security, and election law, and interned with Chief Judge James E. Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. 

Carter received his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was an editor of the Yale Law Journal, Yale Journal of International Law, and Yale Law and Policy Review. Through Yale's Supreme Court Advocacy Clinic, Carter represented clients before the Supreme Court and helped secure a grant of certiorari, vacatur, and remand in a constitutional challenge to a federal criminal conviction. Carter's scholarship on executive power and national security has appeared in the Yale Law Journal and the UC Davis Law Review. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Chicago.

Carter is not yet admitted to the District of Columbia Bar and is currently practicing under the supervision of members of the District of Columbia Bar.
